Frank Blocker, Playwright and Performer
As the New York Times once put it, “Apparently, Mr. Blocker can act in any position.” Having secured a Drama Desk Award nomination for Outstanding Solo Performance for his previous work Southern Gothic Novel, Blocker turned to the Big Apple for inspiration, and to the eccentric NYC-co-dependent creatures who reside there. Stabilized was born.
Frank’s other plays include Good Jew, Suite Atlanta, The Wisconsinners, HP Lovecraft’s The Call of Cthulhu, and his off-Broadway debut in Eula Mae’s Beauty, Bait & Tackle. As an actor, he is a member of Actors’ Equity Association and SAG/AFTRA. In New York, he played Mortimer in Edward II, the “last Don” in The Don Quixote Project, was part of the Obie-winning team of West Village/East Village Fragments and his latest NYC appearance in the premiere of his play Good Jew at the Museum of Jewish Heritage. In regional theatre he has appeared in such roles as Saliere in Amadeus, the Chairman in The Mystery of Edwin Drood, Mother Superior in The Divine Sister and Caldwell B. Cladwell in Urinetown: the Musical.
Blocker lives in Southwest Florida with his partner, their retired racer Razmus and a whole lotta plants.

Jeffrey Edward Peters, Director
Jeff Peters is the graphic artist behind Comics Creative and the Melvin Moose and Museum Girl series. An actor and director, he is likely best-known as the original David Letterman Double, having appeared on the landmark television program multiple times. Jeff’s keen director’s eye, his insistence on authenticity of character, and his decades of experience reflecting the real world through comic eyes made him the perfect driver for this vehicle. He is also the artist behind the show’s poster.

Cheryl King, Dramaturge
Creator of Stage Left Studio, New York City and now Sonoma, California, Cheryl King is a gifted teacher, writer, and actress. Forbidden Kiss LIVE! (currently in a successful run at The Californian and created by Cheryl) has continued for more than a decade from coast to coast, as has the solo production Grapefruit by Sally Lambert. Throughout Cheryl’s tenure conducting workshops in New York City and being crowned the “The Matron of New York Solo Shows,” many performers honed their talents and challenged themselves to become better writers. Cheryl’s initial response to the play was, “I don’t like these people. I have to like them.” Which became the point of the play.
